AlphaCharge is a reactive centerfire rifle target consisting of two components: white Blast Beads and the QuickFuse additive packet. Upon mixing, the target becomes strongly reactive to high-velocity projectiles. When used according to directions, AlphaCharge adds excitement and enhances the target shooting experience.
AlphaCharge is safe and easy to use. Read and follow all directions and warnings prior to use. First, remove the lid and QuickFuse additive packet from the jar of Blast Beads. Second, open the QuickFuse additive packet and empty the contents back into the Blast Beads jar. Lastly, replace the lid and gently shake until the entire jar appears silver in color. Your AlphaCharge target is now armed. Ensure target is at minimum safe distance for target size. To reliably detonate, a projectile moving at 2200 feet per second (impact velocity) from a centerfire rifle is recommended. AlphaCharge will not be detonated by shotgun, .22 caliber, or handgun ammunition.
Yes. AlphaCharge complies with all federal laws regarding binary reactive targets. Always research and comply with local laws, regulations, and ordinances when considering a location for use. Once mixed, AlphaCharge cannot be transported or stored without ATF licensing.
Yes. AlphaCharge is engineered to be safe when used AS DIRECTED. Do not shoot at target near anyone including spectators, bystanders, or pets. Always use appropriate eye and hearing protection when discharging a firearm, and follow all local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
For the half-pound AlphaCharge α/2 target, the minimum safe distance (for shooter and any bystanders) is 100 yards. For the one-pound AlphaCharge α target, the minimum safe distance is 200 yards. For the two-pound AlphaCharge 2α target, the minimum safe distance is 300 yards.
When stored in a cool dry place, AlphaCharge can be reliably used for up to 15 years. Blast Beads may fuse and harden if exposed to moisture.

Wait 5 minutes before approaching or handling a target that has been compromised. Examine the target to be sure it was mixed properly and target wasn’t simply “grazed”. Verify projectile should be reaching the target at sufficient velocity. Target may be shot again if intact. If container is broken and unusable, scatter beads and thoroughly douse with water. Material is not harmful to soil. Do not contaminate waterways.
No. AlphaCharge is supplied with enough QuickFuse powder to reliably and safely be used with the quantity of Blast Beads it is provided with. Adrenaline Research Labs does not condone and is not responsible for the use of any target components in any manner contrary to their specified directed use.
AlphaCharge is also used within Baby Boom and The Obliterator. These products contain a colored mixture of cornstarch and food coloring, making them eco-friendly and safe for the environment. The same safety precautions that apply to AlphaCharge also apply to these products.
